This leather case has been handmade by our qualified leather craftsmen
in high quality cowskin , it has passed stringent quality controls during
the entire manufacturing process.

All our products are hand-made across of different elaboration
processes, in all of these, each piece have a very strict quality
control. the most important processes are:
Once made the different molds in hard cartons, these are used to cut by
hand the different parts of the PDA leather case (Leather, interior
reinforcements ……..).
- _ASSEMBLING OF THE PIECES FOR OUR LEATHER CRAFTSMAN
Once all necessary pieces are ready ours leather craftsmen assembling
its like a puzzle were. Piel Frama use a glue that is not danger for the
nature, how you can cheque in the picture all is hand made.We need to
emphasize the raw materials used as backing for the piece, since it is
not visible and it is located between the leather and the lining. This
material is called "viledón" and it is a highly resistant synthetic
cloth which adds consistency and resistance to the cover._If to all
these features, we add the convenient rotating clip and its ability to
be removed and added-on when desired, this product becomes ideal for all
users.
The thread used to sew our leather covers is made of 100 % polyester
(much more durable than cotton).This thread is made by Gutermann, a
leading textile company from Germany.
The kind of leather we use to make the PDAs cases is cowskin 1ª quality,
this leather come from our own country Spain, therefore we have the
opportunity to select the most better of these, this leather is does not
from big cows but rather are from veal (These young cows has not damage
or scratch in their skins. Piel Frama´s leathers is ECOLOGICAL because
is tanned and finished with natural products and biodegradable organic
substances, which guarantee a void impact on the natural systems. In the
analysis effected in ECOPIEL leathers, is not detected forbidden
substances, according to the criteria that envisages the Germany
Legislation of consumer goods for the Consumers Health Protection. Piel
Frama´s leather , fulfil the ecological criteria defined for leather in
the Norm of the Commission of Establishment Decision of the Ecological
Criteria to award of the Community Eco-label [Notified with nº C(1999)
340] (1999/179/CE) date 17 of February of 1.999, taking into account the
Regulation Council nº 880/92. With the time and use, the Piel Frama PDA
cases go winning own style, due to its naturalness.
- HOW DO WE PROCEED TO MAKE THE LEATHER CASE SAMPLE FOR A NEW PDA MODEL?
Once we receive a new PDA, we study how we are going to make their
leather case, once we have decided the design, we make the molds, once
the molds are done we make completely by hand (The holes, all cuts....) a
first sample case, normally we need to change some imperfections and
make another and definitive case, once it is done and now the molds are
perfect, we make another one to have it in the elaboration process
(Checking, quality control...) in this moment of the process we have two
leather case, one of this we send to the person sent the PDA and the
other one for us (Checking, quality control...) in this moment we make
the photos before sending the dummy and sample case. After of this we
send the molds to our dies supplier so they can make the dies we need to
start the first production (The delivery time for the dies is 9 days)
once we receive the dies we start the production of 100 units minimum
(It is the minimum quantity for a leather craftsman and his assistant
for a week) the first 100 units are finished in 8 days, so the total
delivery time from we receive the dummy is (4 days minimum to make the
molds, samples.. 9 days to make the dies and 8 days to make the first
production) total 21 days minimum, normally it is 25 days. Once we have
the first production done, we keep a permanent stock of the model.
